The ABB 216EA62 1MRB150083R1F 1MRB178066R1F is a high-precision analog input module for the ABB REG216 generator and transformer protection system. It samples CT current and PT voltage signals from power secondary circuits, performs signal conditioning and high-speed A/D conversion, and transmits digitized data to the REG216 main processor board. Featuring galvanic signal isolation, 16-bit high resolution, built-in surge protection and channel diagnostics, it is widely deployed in thermal power plants, hydropower plants and high-voltage substations.

ABB 216EA62 is an essential signal acquisition board inside REG216 protection rack. It receives AC voltage and current signals from instrument transformers, filters and converts analog waveforms into digital data, then sends measurement values to the 216VC62a processor via backplane bus for protection algorithm calculation. Each analog channel supports independent monitoring. Onboard self-diagnosis continuously checks signal integrity and circuit status, records fault events for rapid maintenance and reduces power system blackout risk. It works cooperatively with REG216 processor, binary I/O and power supply modules to realize generator and transformer differential, overcurrent and overvoltage protection. Adopting pluggable rack-mounted design, the module has excellent EMC immunity and can run stably in substation cabinets with heavy electrical interference and vibration. 216EA62 is mainly used as spare replacement for legacy ABB REG216 protection systems.
