The ABB CI854 3BSE025347R1 is a PROFIBUS DP-V1 communication module for ABB AC800M controller and 800xA DCS platform. It works as PROFIBUS DP master supporting transmission speed up to 12 Mbps. It connects AC800M to PROFIBUS DP slave devices such as remote I/O, variable frequency drives and smart field instruments. It supports PROFIBUS line redundancy and hot swap function, widely used in power, chemical, pulp & paper and oil & gas industrial process control.

CI854 matches with TP854 baseplate and is installed on AC800M controller rack. It handles cyclic real-time process data exchange and acyclic device diagnosis over PROFIBUS DP-V1 bus. Dual DB9 connectors on baseplate realize PROFIBUS line redundancy to improve communication reliability. LED indicators display module running status and bus fault information for fast on-site troubleshooting. It is configured via Control Builder M software and supports GSD files for third-party PROFIBUS devices. Industrial PCB design ensures stable operation under vibration and electromagnetic interference. It serves as spare replacement part for 800xA DCS maintenance and system retrofit. Each unit passes full function test and thermal aging test before shipment.
