The ABB CI854 3BSE025349R1 is a PROFIBUS DP-V1 communication module designed for ABB AC800M controller and 800xA DCS system. It acts as PROFIBUS DP master supporting baud rate up to 12 Mbps. It establishes real-time communication between AC800M and PROFIBUS DP slave devices including remote I/O, variable speed drives and field transmitters. It supports hot swap and comprehensive bus diagnostics, widely used in power, chemical, pulp & paper and oil & gas industrial automation.

Content Details

CI854 is used together with TP854 baseplate and mounted on AC800M controller rack. It transmits cyclic process data and diagnostic information over PROFIBUS DP-V1 bus. It supports GSD file configuration through Control Builder M software to integrate third-party PROFIBUS devices. LED indicators display module working state and bus faults to help engineers quickly locate faults on site. Galvanic isolation protects the controller from field surge and electromagnetic noise. Rugged industrial PCB maintains reliable performance under vibration and harsh cabinet environments. It serves as spare replacement part for 800xA DCS maintenance and system retrofit. Every unit passes full function test and thermal aging test before shipment.
