The ABB CI857K01 3BSE018144R1 is a PROFIBUS DP communication module for ABB AC800M controller and 800xA DCS system. It works as PROFIBUS DP master, supporting baud rate up to 12 Mbps and galvanic isolation. It realizes real-time data exchange between AC800M and PROFIBUS DP slave devices including remote I/O, variable speed drives and field instruments. It supports module redundancy and hot swap, widely used in power, chemical, oil & gas and pulp & paper industrial process control.

Content Details

CI857K01 consists of communication unit and baseplate, installed on AC800M controller rack. It handles cyclic data communication and diagnostic information transmission over PROFIBUS DP bus. Redundant configuration ensures seamless switchover for critical control applications. Onboard LED indicators display module operation status and bus faults for fast on-site troubleshooting. It is configured by Control Builder M software with GSD file support for third-party DP devices. Industrial PCB design provides stable performance under vibration and strong electromagnetic interference. It is used for spare replacement and system retrofit of 800xA DCS. Every unit passes full function test and thermal aging test before shipment.
